The very first Air conditioner was introduced by ‘National’ in 1958. Today 90 percent of US households are equipped with this Luxury, 60 percent is china and India is just 5 percent. As Climate of India is going hotter day by day surely there will be boom in AC market. AC become necessity rather than luxury in country like India. The worst thing increase in AC usage will increase heat produced and hence global warming. As more electricity generation required. Advisory to AC manufacturers by Indian government to set lowest temperature to 24 degree Celsius is of great relief.
There are many who advocate not using ACs because harm ACs can cause to one’s health. There are many facts as well myths regarding negative impact of ACs on health. One big such downside of AC is unwanted growth of bacteria and fungi because of dampness and moist present inside sometimes outside nearby walls also. It is great threat for lungs health and may give you pneumonia and other breathing problems. Also people who spend most of their time working in air conditioned buildings complain problem of dizziness, dry throat and headaches.
 But I think every gadget comes with its pro and cons. It’s up to us how we accommodate these in our lives that is wisely.
Now if we pay little attention then worries about health issues which come with Air conditioner usage can be avoided. Some little things to consider are following.

·        Never delay proper AC servicing by professionals not only it will keep diseases away but also saves you from hefty electricity bills.

·        In the same way change air filters time to time.

·        If you spend a great amount of time in Office or home in air conditioning set up then little 15-20 minutes’ walk or deep breathe in open may prove great help.

·        Keep a small bowl of water in your room or office cabin it will prevent dry skin problem.

·        When weather is dry and hot and not humid better to go for cooler than AC, it will provide fresh air.

·        Increase water intake and keep body well hydrated.

·        No matter what nothing comparable to little time you spend with nature in early morning or late evening in sunny hot days too.Specially if you stay inside most of the time in a room with air conditioner.

So if you pay little attention always follow do’s and don’ts you can enjoy luxury without problems and it will give you mental satisfaction also as will decrease your carbon footprint. After all not all downsides are there of air conditioners but make our life at ease and peaceful. So many advantages of air conditioner any one can experience in hot summer days and humid days.
 According to the health experts, "air-conditioning is the number one protective factor against heat-related illness and death," a problem that claims thousands of lives in the world each year. People who are most vulnerable to heat-related illness are children and adults over the age of 70, people who are overweight and those who are sick or on certain medications.
To help reduce the risk, one should drink lots of water during the summer and staying in air conditioned areas during the hottest part of the day.
